a Beach Symphony

  • Marari Beach, Kerala

  • 4 Cottages

This beachside escape in Mararikulam near Alleppey is a peaceful sanctuary where guests can switch off and tune into the sounds of nature, like the symphony of waves lapping the nearby shoreline of the Arabian Sea and the melodies of bird song.

With only four roomy cottages set in a large lush garden full of palm trees and tropical plants, this is not a resort but more like an exclusive hideaway that ensures ample space and privacy for every guest.

The cottages are designed for outdoor living with indoor and outdoor spaces merging seamlessly. The airy guest rooms open onto spacious verandas with comfortable sitting areas and an open-air private dining area. Most bathrooms are also open to the outdoors and are another way to commune with nature. Though the cottages are traditional in style and tastefully decorated with a simple uncluttered aesthetic, they do not lack the usual modern comforts you'd expect, like air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi.

Our discreet but attentive extended veranda service is designed to pamper you. Our staff will deliver cold drinking water throughout the day and after asking you about your preferences, serve your home-cooked meals on your private veranda.

  • Extra bed possible in most cottages

“Wish I hadn't left”

My partner and I had the most amazing stay in the small resort... After having booked a really disappointing stay in an even more disappointing hotel, we packed and just left. We decided to walk around and found this beautiful small resort were we were welcome from the moment we stepped in having given no prier notification.

“Incredible food!”

The property is well maintained and our villa was finished to a very high standard. Hammocks provide an excellent place to relax and read a book, and the nearby beach is a great place to sunbathe, swim and watch the sunset. The food at A Beach Symphony is exceptional and was a highlight of our trip to Kerala! The chef asks what meat or fish you would like and then goes to the market to purchase it fresh. Every dish we tried was incredibly tasty, some of the best food we have ever eaten.

“The end of our holiday”

The bungalow itself was clean and well kept, the service was great and quick , the food was very good if you knew how to order it (sometimes tourist flavoured curries came through.....very little spice ) What was disappointing was the dirty pool and the tried garden/ gardener
