Setting : on the beach - natural garden in tropical coconut groove

Description : after a couple of months after our relocation from Belgium we found this beautiful setting with 4 original fishermen cottages on Marari Beach; already ran as a kind of self catering cottages. After a thorough renovation in the second half of 2007 we fully opened on dec 26 2007.

Specific assets : all interior creations & decorations were handled by Belgian specialist Christel Goemaere. Respecting the traditional Kerala settings but adding contemporary European touches and colours. Especially look at the Violin cottage which was created from scratch. All 4 cottages have a different style and ambiance which is very unique for Kerala.

Number of rooms : 4 separate cottages

Khombu : sea view cottage with large veranda and open bathroom  (+- 90 m2)

Nagaswaram (wooden house) : sea view cottage with large veranda open bathroom  and private garden (+- 110 m2)

Violin : design cottage with super large veranda with built-in seat, half open bathroom with rain shower and private garden (+- 160 m2)

Sitar : design cottage with large veranda, traditional design  bathroom with rain shower &  large veranda (+- 80 m2)

Standard amenities : - luxury bed linen & towels – beach towels – Fab India bathroom products – hot water - coffee & tea maker – luggage rack

water & beer cooler – free mineral cool mineral water – private hammock – sun lounger – fully equipped veranda (table, 4 chairs, relaxing chairs)

Air-conditioning : no but rooms & verandas fanned – as we’re close to the beach there’s always a cool breeze

Number of pers. per room : 2 double – 2 twin 

Extra person : possible in 2 rooms

Meals : breakfast – light & full lunch – snacks – sundowners on the beach - diner – bbq (on demand)

Serving of meals : all meals are served on the proper veranda of the cottage (where you pay a high price elsewhere is standard for us) – candle light diners on the beach

Management : our boutique stay is an Indian & Belgian partner project. Run by the majority partners : Belgian Christel & Jan Arryn with 15 years of experience in hospitality business (hotels & restaurants & home stay)
